When installing on a computer a low-quality or someone made operating system, there are cases of freezing not only programs, but also the graphical shell itself. This causes all workbars, including icons and desktop shortcuts, to become inoperable. This is very frustrating, especially if you need to do a certain job in a short time. Sometimes it can be caused by a virus infection of the computer.
Step 2
You can start the task manager in the following ways:
- shortcut keys "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "Delete";
- right-click on an empty space of the "Taskbar", in the menu that opens, select "Task Manager";
- Start menu - Run - enter "taskmgr".
When you start the task manager, a loading indicator of your computer will appear in the tray near the taskbar. If you minimize the task manager, then you can restore the manager window by double-clicking on the green icon in the tray.

The task manager has its drawbacks, in which it may not start, especially when under games. Hanging processes are not always unloaded through the task manager. Therefore, now there are analogous programs. They take up less space in RAM and work, as a rule, more efficiently. An example of such an analogue is the Process Killer program. It is designed directly for unloading frozen processes, an easy-to-use, intuitive interface. The process is unloaded by pressing the "Kill" button or by double clicking on the selected process.
