Not every user is satisfied with the picture that appears when the computer boots. Unfortunately, the Windows operating system settings do not provide a function to change the screen saver when the computer boots. But do not despair, because you can always change the picture manually. All you need to do is follow these instructions.
Instructions
Step 1
First you need to make sure that your operating system supports this feature. Open the registry by clicking on the "Start" button on the taskbar, then in the "Run" line enter "Regedit" and press Enter. Next, open the following folder:
HKLM / Software / Microsoft / Windows / CurrentVersion / Authentication / LogonUI / Background
In this branch, create a key with the DWORD parameter, name it "OEMBackGround", and then set the parameter 1.
Step 2
After you enable this feature in the registry, open "My Computer" and go to the following folder: C: / Windows / System32 / oobe / info / backgrounds \. If such folders do not exist, then they need to be created.
Step 3
You need to upload your images to the "Backgrounds" folder, but remember that the names of the images should look like this: if the resolution of your monitor is 800 * 600, then the uploaded picture will be called background800 * 600, if the screen resolution is higher than 800 * 600, then you need write your own.
Step 4
Also don't forget to create another picture called backgroundDefault. This image will be activated when Windows starts, if the picture with your resolution does not fit.
