Sometimes a computer owner may need to format the system volume on which the operating system is located. In this case, everything seems a little more complicated (relative to the usual formatting of the hard drive), because the developer does not expect user intervention in the system to such an extent. However, there is nothing incredible.
Instructions
Step 1
The operating system will not erase itself, which means that you will need to find an external information drive with the operating system on it and boot your personal computer from it.
Step 2
Starting from a different version of Windows, format the system hard drive as if it were a regular hard drive, without an installed OS.
Step 3
If you started the computer in an old MS-DOS environment, then you can clean up using the format C: command (replace C: with the letter of your partition).
Step 4
You can also use the Windows installation disc and reformat the disc using the installer tools.
