Computers with the preinstalled Windows 7 operating system are configured so that the administrator account is inactive, and the standard user has slightly reduced rights. When installing programs and making changes to the registry, you may receive warnings that there are not enough access rights to perform these operations.
Instructions
Step 1
Run the application, the execution of which requires administrator rights on its behalf. To do this, call the file's internal menu (by right-clicking on the file) and click on the "Run as administrator" item. Change your own user rights to admina. Start User Accounts. To do this, type the command control userpasswords2 in the "Run" line, available in the main "Start" menu.
Step 2
Go to the "Advanced" tab and click on the same button to open the user and group settings window. Find your user and right-click on his name, then select "Properties". Click the Group Membership tab and add the Administrators group for the user. To do this, click on the "Add" button, then - "Advanced" and "Search". Select a group and click "OK". Finish adding the group and click "Apply". Restart your computer for your new system permission to take effect.
Step 3
If a password has been set for the "Administrator" user, it can be dropped using the LiveCD, which includes the Windows Key Enterprise utility. Boot from disk and reset your password. If you do not have such media, you can buy it from a specialist store. At the moment, almost every distribution of the operating system has built-in utilities on the disk.
Step 4
You can also download an image of such a system on the Internet. You can set your own password for the administrator. To do this, go to "User Accounts". Next, select the administrator entry. Select "Set Password". Enter your password, preferably upper and lower case. Save changes and restart your computer.
