Almost everyone can open a file or program on a personal computer. But with their closure, problems often arise. Sometimes the program can simply "freeze" and not close, and sometimes it is very difficult to understand the closing process in the body of the program itself.

Instructions

Step 1

Pay attention to the upper right corner of the open window (be it a file or software that needs to be closed). There should be a close icon (in the form of a cross, otherwise - X). To close the file, click on it once with the left mouse button.

Step 2

If there is no close icon in the upper right corner of the window, then you should look for it in other corners, and then also click on it with the left mouse button.

Step 3

You can also call the "Start" panel, find a running file or program in the tabs. Click on the tab once with the right mouse button and select "Close" from the list of actions that appears.

Step 4

If the program is running in full screen mode (that is, without a window frame), then to exit it, press the keyboard shortcut "Alt + F4". This command is for quickly closing any file or program.

Step 5

Closing the file can be difficult if the program is not responding. Then it is necessary to press the combination of keys “Ctrl + Alt + Delete” on the keyboard (“Delete” may otherwise be denoted “Del”). After clicking, the Task Manager will open. It has tabs from which you need to select "Applications". A list of currently running applications (programs) will appear. From it, you need to find and select (with one click of the left mouse button) the application that you want to stop (close). Then click the "End task" button, which is located at the bottom of the Task Manager window. The application will be forcibly stopped.
