Instructions
Step 1
Password protect your Miscrosoft Word document. Save all changes made to the document using the "File" - "Save As" command. Go to the "Service" menu, select the "Options" item, select the "Security" tab. In the "Password to open file" field, enter the password you want to set. Next, encrypt the set password.
Step 2
To do this, click on the "Advanced" button next to the password entry field, in the "Encryption type" window that opens, select encryption with a key strength of 128 from the list of types, click on the "OK" button. Then click the "OK" button in the "Security" tab, in the window that opens, enter the password again. Save your changes to the document again to set a password to open the file.
Step 3
Set a password for the file using the Winrar program. To do this, go to the folder with the required file, right-click on it and select the "Add to archive" option. In the window that opens, go to the "Archive name and parameters" tab. Enter the desired name for the archive, select the compression level and, if necessary, select the "Create self-extracting archive" checkbox.
Step 4
Click the Advanced tab to password protect the file. Click on the "Set Password" button. In the Password Archive dialog box that opens. In the "Enter password" field, enter your password twice, then fill in the "Enter the password again for verification" field and click the "OK" button.
Step 5
Download and install File & Folder Protector application to set a password for a file or folder. To do this, download the demo version of the program. After installation, launch it. The program window looks like "Explorer". In the left part of the window, select the required folder or file, click the Password button on the toolbar, enter the required password and click OK.
