The appearance and display of all buttons, panels, icons, menus, titles and other accessories of the windowed user interface depends on the parameters set in the system. One of these parameters is the system font. For each user, the size and typeface may be different from the system's default values. It is best to adjust the system font in accordance with your preferences for an adequate perception of the window interface. Windows operating system tools make it easy to change the font by setting your own display properties.
Instructions
Step 1
Start display property settings mode. To do this, right-click anywhere on the system desktop. In the context menu that appears, select the "Properties" item. You will be presented with the "Properties: Display" window.
Step 2
Go to the "Design" tab in this window. In the drop-down lists of window elements select the style and scheme you need, in which you want to change the system font. Then click the "Advanced" button.
Step 3
In a new window that opens, a graphical representation of all elements of the window interface is shown. In the corresponding drop-down list, select the item where you need to install the new font. The Font list contains all possible variants of system fonts. Select the font heading you want, set its size, color and other formatting using the elements on the right.
Step 4
If necessary, select the other elements of the window interface in the same way and also assign a new system font to them. Save the changes by clicking the "OK" button.
