Windows 8 became the new operating system from Microsoft, which was released after Windows 7. The novelty is gaining more and more popularity thanks to its new interface, improved stability and speed. Windows 8 offered a new concept of working with the computer, which is now being actively developed at Microsoft.
Metro
The Metro interface is a major innovation in Windows 8 over Windows 7. It is an alternative and lightweight version of the standard Aero desktop.
The system, however, does not exclude the possibility of working in a standard interface - most programs are currently launched through the "Desktop". However, you can view the weather and the latest news, read notes, launch some programs, and download them from the App Store. These functions have become especially convenient for owners of tablets on which this system has been installed. At the same time, Metro has a fast working speed and can become a convenient addition to the system for each user.
You can also set shortcuts to launch programs in the Metro interface, which will speed up access to applications.
Work speed
The lightweight Metro also sped up many of the computer's functions. You can quickly switch between programs running on your computer using the keyboard keys alt="Image" and Tab, and through a special window manager, which becomes available when you move the mouse cursor to the upper left of the screen. In this case, you can go to the settings by moving the cursor to the right and selecting the corresponding option in the sidebar.
Design
The system in version 8 received an updated design, new color schemes and additional various effects. Microsoft Office 2013, focused more on Windows 8, received a similar design. Also, windows, window decorations, shortcuts, status windows for copying and deleting operations have been modified.
Other functions
The task manager has been significantly improved, which now has two modes of use, which is good for the usability. The program is equipped with new functions, such as "Job Analysis" and startup management. With Windows 8, developers have also managed to improve system performance, especially in version 8.1.
The system has received an optimized boot - Windows starts or shuts down the computer faster, which can also be a tangible advantage.
However, some users may find the new system interface awkward, as it is primarily aimed at touchscreen users - using a mouse in Metro will not seem convenient for all users.
