A special function is provided to quickly fix failures in the Windows operating system. Special disks are used to start OS recovery. Sometimes this process is carried out through the menu of the system itself.
Necessary
Windows boot disk
Instructions
Step 1
If your operating system boots but is unstable, run the recovery function. To do this, go to the computer control panel by clicking on the desired item in the "Start" menu. Select the "System and Security" submenu.
Step 2
Follow the link "System". Open the "Advanced Settings" item and expand the "System Protection" tab. Click the "Recovery" button and wait a while while the program collects the necessary information.
Step 3
In the launched menu, click on the "Select another restore point" item. Click "Next". Now check the box next to Show other restore points.
Step 4
Select the required archive with the left mouse button and click the "Search for affected programs" button. After a while, the system will display a list of applications that will be removed during the OS recovery process. These are usually the programs that were installed after the checkpoint was created.
Step 5
If you are satisfied with this archive, click the "Next" button. Wait for the operating system to perform the required operations. The computer will then automatically restart. When using relatively old checkpoints, several system restarts may be required.
Step 6
In a situation where the OS does not boot, use the boot disk to start recovery. Insert the specified DVD drive into the drive and start it in DOS mode.
Step 7
Open the Advanced Recovery Options menu after starting the program from the disc. Select "System Restore". Use the algorithm described in steps 3, 4 and 5.
Step 8
After the first restart of the computer, be sure to enable Hard Disk Startup. It is best to use the Quick Change Device menu during the initial boot of the program from disk.
