Step 1
The fact is that most antiviruses do not periodically scan hard drives. Those. if a virus file has entered the system and is not used by any application, then it can be quietly stored on the hard drive for a long time. To remove such files, start the scanning process.
Step 2
Open the working window of your antivirus. Go to the Scan for PC or Scan for Hard Drives menu. A window for setting the parameters of the future system scan will open.

Select the most powerful disk scan option (Deep Scan). Specify hard drives, USB drives, or other device that you want to check for viruses.

If necessary, make more detailed settings for the file check operation. Click the Scan button to start this process.
Step 5
Most likely, when it finds suspicious files, the program will offer you possible options for action on them. The following actions are most often suggested:
- Moving a file to quarantine
- Cleaning the file from the virus code
- Deleting a file
- Skip this file (do nothing).
Select the required action and click OK.
Step 6
If after scanning with a special program the virus has not been removed, perform this operation yourself. First, try pointing the antivirus program to the required file. Open the folder containing the above file, right-click on it and select "Check for viruses" or "Scan …".

If the anti-virus program did not find anything suspicious in this file or their group, but you are sure that they are viral, then select the required set of files and press the shift + del key combination.
