Instructions

Step 1

In most cases, applications are installed using an automated installer - the Application Installation Wizard. It appears automatically when you run the executable file of the program for installation or after inserting the disc into the computer drive and selecting the appropriate menu item.

Step 2

During the installation process, there are several important steps, the most important of which is setting the location of the program on the computer, namely the location of unpacking the program files. All applications that you will often use for work, it is advisable to install on the C drive, which is the system drive, all Windows files are located on it. Only store the data on the C drive that is really important for working on your computer.

Step 3

The directory where programs are usually installed is called Program Files (C: / Program Files) or Program Files (x86), depending on the bitness of your OS. If you install games, then they can be installed in any directory or logical partition convenient for you. For example, you can install a game you like on the D drive so as not to take up extra space on the system drive.

Step 4

Installing the games on a separate drive will save space on your main C drive. This is important because the system requires sufficient free space on the storage medium for the system to function properly. If the local drive C becomes full, it may affect the stability of the system.
