Step 1

Click the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the Microsoft Windows operating system and go to the "Control Panel" item to perform the operation of prohibiting the use of the welcome page.

Step 2

Expand the User Accounts node and select the Change User Logon link.

Uncheck the Use Welcome Page checkbox and confirm the selected changes by clicking OK.
