Fraps
Instructions
Step 1
Download and install Fraps software. Prepare a program with which you will launch your game video. Usually the game itself or additional utilities are used for this, allowing you to quickly download and view the demo. Be sure to adjust the image quality in the game. Select the screen resolution, contrast and brightness you want. This will provide the optimum video quality.
Step 2
Launch Fraps and open the General menu. Disable the positioning of the program window on top of all windows by unchecking the Fraps window always on top option. Go to the FPS menu. If you are using an unregistered version of the program, then the maximum recording duration will be 60 seconds. Otherwise, disable the Stop benchmark automatically option. Leave the rest of the options in this menu unchanged.
Step 3
Go to the Movies tab. First, select the folder where you want to save the recorded video. To do this, click the Change button at the top of the working window. Set a hotkey for Video Capture Hotkey. Pressing it will start video recording and stop this process.
Step 4
Check the box next to Full-size to maximize the quality of the recorded video. Choose the number of frames per second. This is one of the most important indicators of the video image. Use the available options or set your own value.
Step 5
Now launch the game you want and enable demo preview. At the right moment, press the selected key to start recording. Recorded files are named automatically. Therefore, you can record several fragments in a row. Be sure to make sure there is free space on the selected disk partition.
