The pictures that we install on the desktop of our computer are called wallpapers. Wallpapers are part of a personalized theme, and each account, if multiple people use the computer, can have a different wallpaper for each owner. Wallpapers express not only the style and preferences of the owner of the computer, but can also relax or, conversely, tune in to work.
Instructions
Step 1
Setting a picture as a background is very easy. Let's take a step-by-step look at how to install a picture on the desktop in Windows Vista and Windows 7. In other operating systems, such as MacOS and Linux, these steps are very similar.
Windows 7: The first thing to do is right-click on the desktop and select "Personalize" from the context menu. In the window that appears, you will see "Desktop Background" at the bottom. Click on this inscription and in a new window that opens you will see the line "File location". You can choose not only the default pictures, but also pictures downloaded from the Internet or your own photos. To do this, click the Browse button and locate the file you want, then click OK in the dialog box and OK in the Desktop Wallpaper window. Wallpaper set.
Step 2
Windows Vista: As in the instructions for Windows 7, you need to right-click on the desktop and select "Personalization" in the context menu. Then select the "Desktop Background" option from the list. Next, find the "Browse" button on the screen and select the desired image, then click OK in the dialog box and OK in the Desktop Wallpaper window. Wallpaper set.
Step 3
An alternative way is to open the desired picture or photo in the Windows image viewer. Right-click on the picture and select Set as Desktop Background. Wallpaper set.
