Step 1
Check the integrity of the system files on the C drive. Start Computer Management and select Disk Management in the utility. Check and repair the sectors on the C drive. As a rule, such operations on a personal computer can take a long time, so wait until the end, as an interruption may cause the operating system to crash.

Restore the operating system to the previous restore point. To do this, go to the "Maintenance" section through the "Control Panel" and select the "System Backup and Restore" section. Specify the previous restore point and start the process.

Check your antivirus settings. The command line may have been mistakenly blocked by the antivirus. Mistakes in such actions are, of course, quite rare. Find cmd.exe in the list of blocked applications and remove the program from the list. Try booting your operating system in safe mode. To do this, restart your computer and press F8 to display a list of modes. After starting safe mode, check for a command prompt.

If all these operations did not restore the command line, you must reinstall the operating system. Save personal data from the user folder to another partition, since it is recommended to format the C drive when installing the system. Then boot your computer from the installation disc and begin the reinstallation process. As a rule, the command line can be blocked due to the presence of various viruses in the operating system. Perform a full scan of your computer so that the system finds all harmful programs and completely removes them from your hard drive.
