Such large permissions are not very convenient to store on a computer and upload to the Internet or send by e-mail due to the large size of the file. After all, the higher the resolution, the higher the volume occupied by the photo on the disk.

Step 1
To change the resolution, you need any photo editor - it can be Paint. NET, Adobe Photoshop, Ulead Photoimpacht, ACD SeeSystem and many others. The most accessible of them, free and at the same time not inferior in functionality - Paint. NET. The program has a completely Russian interface and is understandable even for a beginner. After installing and launching the program, open the desired photo in the "File" - "Open" menu. To change the resolution of the photo, call the menu "Image" - "Resize". In the window that appears, select "Percentage" if you want to reduce the photo in a certain percentage, or "Absolute size" if you want to get the desired resolution. To prevent the picture from stretching and shrinking, check the "Maintain aspect ratio" option and enter the desired width or height of the image in pixels, while you only need to change one numerical parameter - the second will automatically change in accordance with the scale of the photo.
Step 2
A few words about saving a photo with a new resolution. If you need to save the original photo without overwriting it, click "File" - "Save As" and save the resulting photo with a new resolution in the format you need to any convenient folder on your computer. If the original photo is no longer required, just save the photo with the changed resolution by clicking "File" - "Save".
