PC users, it happens, are faced with such a situation when the shortcuts of folders and programs on the desktop are large enough or, on the contrary, too small. To calibrate the size of the displayed shortcut and all information in general, you need to change the screen resolution settings.
Instructions
Step 1
Screen resolution is responsible for such functions as marking the boundaries of your monitor's visibility when browsing the Internet, determining the size of folder and application icons on your desktop, and scaling all information displayed on the monitor. For example, if the site provides full-screen display at a resolution of 1280 pixels, and you have a resolution of 800x600, you will only see the first 800 pixels (from left to right), to view the rest of the site, you will need to scroll to the right side.
Step 2
The more you set the screen resolution, the more information you can see on your monitor. However, increasing the resolution significantly reduces the scale of the displayed information, respectively, the lower the resolution you define, the larger its size will be. To change the screen resolution, you should follow these steps. On the desktop, right-click on an empty area of the screen and select the "Properties" menu. Next, you should switch to the parameters tab. It is here that you can adjust the screen resolution that is optimal for you.
Step 3
Also, the screen resolution can be set in the control panel. To do this, you need to open the Control Panel via the Start menu and select the "Display" category. Further actions are absolutely identical to those when you right-click on an empty space on the desktop.
