Step 1
The fact is that most users use the maximum potential of the computer not so often. And modern processors consume a lot of electricity. Consequently, power consumption can be significantly reduced by making sure that the processor runs at maximum frequency only when needed.

If you have a computer with an AMD processor, follow the steps below. Turn on your PC. After switching on, press the Del key. You should get into the BIOS menu. If this key does not open the BIOS, check the manual for your motherboard which one you need to press to enter it.

In the BIOS menu, select the Advanced tab, then the CPU Configuration item, and in it the Cool'n'Quiet parameter. Set this to Enable. Save settings and exit BIOS menu. After restarting the computer, the processor frequency will begin to decrease when the minimum load falls on it. Accordingly, power consumption will be reduced. And when the load increases, the processor frequency will increase accordingly. If your system is based on Intel, then you need to install the Eist application. The principle of the program is the same as that of Cool'n'Quiet.
Step 4
The second parameter that can be adjusted is the noise level generated by the coolers. If you often do not load your computer to the maximum, then this noise level can be minimized. To do this, enter the BIOS menu. Next, select the Power tab and go to Hardware Monitor. Then select the Smart fan mode parameter and then set this parameter to Silent. Save the settings. This feature may not be available on all motherboard models.
