The easiest way for a beginner to create a website is using a standard template. The uniqueness of the resource can be achieved by making a number of cosmetic and organizational changes in the standard design.

Instructions
Step 1
Find a website template suitable for you on the Internet. Explore the proposed templates, paying attention to their adaptability to the size of the monitor, the specifics of the layout of columns and menus. Download the selected option. Check its performance by uploading files to the root of the site being created. If the template contains errors that come to light in the work, it is better to find another option.
Step 2
Modify most of the images in the template. Replace each picture as follows. Launch Photoshop and open one of the template graphic files in it. Look in the "Image" menu in the "Size" column for the parameters of the picture. Open a new sheet with the same dimensions and create the image you need on it. Save the result to the template folder under the name of the graphic file to be replaced. Therefore, it is necessary to replace all meaningful images.
Step 3
Change the rest of the parameters using style.css cascading tables, a formal programming language that describes the appearance of a document. It is more convenient to make such changes through the admin panel, and it is better to view the results on local hosting so as not to upload every update to the server.
Step 4
Download and install the free FireBug extension for your browser. An icon with a yellow bug should appear in the upper right corner of the browser window. Click on the icon and press F12. The collapsed page code appears at the bottom of the screen. It can be expanded by hovering over the plus signs. By clicking on an item row, you can see how it is highlighted at the top of the screen. In the right part of the window with the code there are styles indicating the lines responsible for the appearance of the page.
Step 5
Open the template in Notepad ++ editor. Use FireBug to find the parameters to be changed and edit them in Notepad ++.
Step 6
Save the result and upload the created site to the server.
