.pov - format for recording demo videos in Counter-strike. Demo - recording a game for later viewing and demonstration. You can use Valve's built-in tools to play back your recordings. You can watch the recorded demos to improve your own tactics and your team's tactics.
Instructions
Step 1
Launch Counter-Strike using a shortcut on the desktop or through the appropriate menu item "Start". Go to any internet server or create your own game using the New Game item.
Step 2
Wait until the connection ends and the game files are loaded. After you get to the server and select a command, open the CS console using the "~" key and enter a request to record a pov demo: record 1.
Step 3
After that, all your actions for the team will be recorded. After the game is over, do not forget to write the "Stop" command in the console before exiting the server to avoid possible bugs and interruptions at the end of the recording. However, the demo will be saved in any case, even if you do not register this request.
Step 4
Pov demo recorded. All video files are located in the CS - Cstrike_russian folder (or Cstrike, it depends on the version of the game).
Step 5
To view the recorded file, go to CS again, open the console and write the command: viewdemo your_record_name.
Step 6
The Viewdemo team is experimental. If you cannot start the video with it, then use Playdemo, but during playback you will not be able to rewind and pause.
Step 7
To view records not from CS, you can install a third-party player SK Player, which plays pov files correctly. In newer versions, this player is installed along with the game.
