MP4 is a popular video format often used on mobile devices. Its peculiarity is that it has a relatively small volume and at the same time contains a high-quality audio track in MP3 format. It can be extracted from MP4 using video editing and converting software.
Instructions
Step 1
To convert MP4 to MP3 format, download and install the converter software. Among the most popular conversion utilities are Movavi Video Converter, Audio Transcoder, and Lucky Video Converter. To download the installer file, go to the website of the selected program and use the download link provided on the website. Run the downloaded file and install according to the instructions on the screen.
Step 2
Open the program using the shortcut on the desktop. Go to menu "File" - "Open" and select the MP4 file you want to convert. If you are using the Lucky Video Converter utility, use the Add File button to add a video file. Set MP3 format as destination.
Step 3
If you decide to use the Movavi application, open the "Profile" menu and select "Audio only: MP3" in the drop-down list. In the "Save folder" field, specify the directory where you would like to save the audio file.
Step 4
If you are using Audio Transcoder, go to the AudioConverter tab and select MP3 in the Output Format field. You can also adjust the quality of the resulting file using the drop-down list in the line below. In the Output Folder item, set the directory where you would like to save the final file. For Lucky Video Converter, simply select “MP3: High Quality” from the drop-down list, located right below the “Add File” button. Also set the directory for saving the final result in MP3.
Step 5
After making all the necessary settings, click "Convert". The procedure may take some time, depending on the video file size and the power of the computer. After completing the procedure, you can open the created MP3 file by finding it in the specified folder.
