You may need to glue several photos together when creating a panorama, collage, postcard, calendar, invitation. This is not difficult, but at the same time, a very common technique.
Instructions
Step 1
To merge two or more images in Photoshop, open them all in the program. To see all the images with which you will work, execute the command of the main menu Window - Arrange - Cascade. There are also items Tile Horizontally and Tilly Vertically, which also "lay out" all the images on the desktop.
Step 2
It is good to saddle the size of the images vertically or horizontally, depending on the direction in which you will be gluing them. In order to know and be able to change the size of the picture, go to the Image - Image Size main menu item.
Step 3
Select the image to which the rest will be glued. After that, increase the size of the canvas in the desired direction by the number of pixels equal to the sizes of the images that you will glue here. To do this, select the Image - Canvas Size main menu item. Current Size - this is the size of the picture that you are changing. Width is the horizontal size, Height is the vertical. With Anchor you specify in which direction the image will be resized.
Step 4
Select the Move Tool and use it to drag the second image to the empty space that appears. Align the pictures.
Step 5
In the event that you need to make a smooth transition from one image to another, then use the Clone Stamp tool. While holding down the Alt key, click on the place of the image from which the fragment will be copied. After that, use the mouse to "smear" those transition points that you want to smooth.
Step 6
Another way to achieve a smooth transition is to use a layer mask. To do this, activate the layer above. At the bottom of the Layers palette, click Add Layer Mask (the icon of the rectangle in which the circle is drawn). Select the Gradient Tool from black to white and fill your images with a gradient. A smoother transition will be obtained by starting the gradient as close to the border of the image as possible and stretching it as far as possible.
Step 7
If you need to merge those several layers that you got, then do it in the Layer palette by choosing the Flatten Image menu item.
