The use of account technology in Windows 7 allows multiple users to perform work on the same computer, but have completely their own settings and the ability to use their own data and parameters. To enter the accounts, usernames and passwords are used.
Instructions
Step 1
Each computer user account is a set of settings data that gives Windows 7 information about the folders and files that the user works with and what changes he can make to the system. This data also stores personal settings, such as desktop configuration, window colors, mouse cursor shape, location of work panels, screen saver, and similar design elements. Three types of Windows 7 accounts are available. Each type gives the user a different level of control over the system.
Step 2
To change your Windows 7 account, go to the Start / Settings / Control Panel settings panel. The control panel window will open. In the "Configure Computer Settings" section, find the "User Accounts" item. Click on it with the right mouse button, after which the "User Accounts" window should open.
Step 3
You can change the password for your account. To do this, you need to enter the old password, and then write a new one and confirm it in the field below. Be sure to create a reminder tip. If you do not want to set a password for your account, you can remove it by clicking the "Remove password" button.
Step 4
It is convenient to add a picture to visually identify your section. You can choose from the offered pictures or choose your own using the file selection dialog box. If you have coped with this, then click the "Change Picture" button. Together with the picture, you can freely change the name of your account in the "Change your name" section.
Step 5
You can also transfer administrator rights from one account to another. To do this, you need to go to the "Change account type" section and change the type of your account. If you are the administrator of this computer, you can manage all accounts on it.
Step 6
Account Control helps you avoid the installation of potentially dangerous software that could damage the data of the current or all accounts on your computer. Setting up accounts for kids using the computer will help you set up parental controls. The control includes limiting the time the child spends at the computer, the ability to install and use some programs, access to games by type and name, setting the time intervals for access to the system.
