Long gone are the days when the computer was used as a tool for data processing, various calculations and solving specialized problems. Now for most people, the computer is primarily a means of communication and entertainment. The data is not displayed in the form of "dry" numbers and symbols, now it is an abundance of graphics, video and sounds. Every self-respecting user seeks to endow the computer with his own personality. Therefore, the user account is a kind of face of its owner. And the very first thing that a person who turns on the computer encounters is the welcome screen with his personal icon and name.
Instructions
Step 1
Not every user likes that the computer greets him as a faceless "administrator" or "guest". That's why we'll start by giving the account a specific and real name. And we will do this using the example of the Windows 7 operating system. To get started, open the start menu. To do this, you need to click with the mouse on the round icon in the lower left corner of the screen.
Step 2
From the start menu, find and open "Control Panel". If the start menu is configured by default, then the "Control Panel" tab will be on the right side of the window.
Step 3
Make sure that the control panel is displayed in the form of categories. To do this, in the upper right corner, select "category" in the drop-down list.
Step 4
Now successively click: "User Accounts and Family Safety" - "User Accounts".
Step 5
In the window that opens "make changes to user accounts", select - "change the name of your account." In the tab that appears, you will be prompted to enter a new name. To confirm the new name, after entering it, click "rename". Thus, you can set a name for other accounts as well.
