Type 22 cartridges are used in many Hewlett-Packard inkjet products. They have a relatively small capacity and are quickly consumed, especially for large volumes of color printing.
Instructions
Step 1
Position the HP 22 color cartridge with the contact pad facing away from you. Remove the plastic sticker located on the surface of the case to gain access to the filler holes. Inside the cartridge of this model is divided into three compartments, which contain ink of different colors. The upper compartment holds red ink, the lower left compartment contains yellow ink, and the lower right compartment contains blue.
Step 2
You will need a reusable syringe to refuel. Take it, put on a needle and fill in with about 5 grams of ink in one of the three colors.
Step 3
Special sponges are located inside the ink compartments. Insert the needle into the sponge through the filling hole to a depth of 0.3 to 0.6 centimeters. Be careful if inserting the needle further, there is a risk of damage to the cartridge. In this case, after refueling, it will leak. After inserting the needle into the sponge, begin gently injecting ink. Do not use excessive force - under high pressure, ink may splash out and stain your clothes and premises. If you notice that ink has started to flow out of the hole, stop refilling immediately - this means that the cartridge is full. In this case, pull back about 1 gram of ink. Repeat this operation for all colors.
Step 4
Reattach the label you detached. If it has been damaged, use a piece of tape or electrical tape.
Step 5
The used syringe must be rinsed under running water. This will help avoid mixing inks of different colors on subsequent refills.
Step 6
Install a refilled ink cartridge in the printer and make a few color prints. If the printed documents show imperfections, leave the cartridge in the printer for 24 hours to allow ink to leak to the print head. Also, keep in mind that if the cartridges are left empty for a long time, the remaining ink in the print head nozzles may dry out. In this case, you just need to rinse them.
