There are situations when a printer is urgently needed. You have a faithful assistant on your desk, and he would gladly carry out his direct duties, but much to his and your chagrin, his laser cartridge has run out of ink. Suppose this happened at a time of day when all service centers are closed. You will have to refill the cartridge yourself. How to do it?
Necessary
- - ink for the desired purpose;
- - 20 ml syringe with a sharp and blunt needle;
- - napkins;
- - paper towel;
- - newspaper.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure you really need to refill the laser cartridge. Print another sheet. If it has a vertical strip located in the center, then this indicates that ink has run out. Some modern printers are equipped with a special chip that counts sheets and warns in advance that the ink will soon run out. This very handy feature will help you avoid such moments.
Step 2
Remove the cartridge from the printer. Then place it on a napkin or paper towel to avoid staining the table. Examine it carefully. Find a seam at the bottom of it, which is usually hidden by a sticker. This place is the junction of the lid and the body of the cartridge. Take a knife, cut through the sticker, pry open the cartridge cover and carefully detach it from the body. This operation is required to refill the color laser cartridge.
Step 3
Find the filler hole. It is hidden under a rubber ball, which you can see after you open the lid. Take a sharp syringe needle. Remove the ball to refill the color laser cartridge. Important! Don't lose this ball.
Step 4
Draw ink into a blunt needle syringe. Do not draw up a full syringe. It should be about 1 centimeter full. Insert it into the hole and slowly push its piston forward. Keep the cartridge level to prevent ink leakage. After you've refilled, ink foam will appear. Take it back into the syringe. Return the rubber ball to its original location. Turn the cartridge over. Make sure no ink leaks. If leakage occurs, fit the ball tighter.
Step 5
Remove air from the cartridge. This is necessary for the printer to recognize it. Do this with a syringe. Then close the cover and reinstall the refilled cartridge in its original place.
