Step 1
There are several options for updating. In any of the options, you need, knowing the name of your video card, download the driver from the manufacturer's website in advance and save it on your hard drive.

In the first option, go to the "Start" menu, find and open the "Control Panel" section and in the window that appears, select the "Add or Remove Programs" subsection. In the list displayed on the screen, find the name of your driver and uninstall it. After that, it is advisable to restart your computer. After the system starts, install the new video driver.

There is another way to properly update your video card driver. Usually, there are special programs on the manufacturers' websites with which you can correctly remove the driver from the system. Download such a program, save it on your computer, run it and follow all instructions.

The next method requires care. Hover over the My Computer icon and right-click. From the menu that appears, select "Device Manager". 2 windows will appear. Select the right window. Find the line with the video adapter in it, this is your video card. Click on it with the mouse and select the item that offers to update the driver. A new wizard window will appear. The last option is the easiest to implement, although it may not always work correctly. To do this, download the new version of the driver from the manufacturer's website and run it. When installing a new driver over the old one, as a rule, unnecessary files are deleted and replaced with updated ones. After that, a reboot is often required for the new driver to work properly.
