The drivers of any video adapter from the Nvidia series are regularly updated, both due to some innovations in the driver library, and due to the introduction of bug fixes that are already revealed by users during the operation of the device.
Updating using Device Manager
There are two paths that will result in the user having updated drivers for their Nvidia graphics card. The first of them is updating by means of standard means of the operating system. Click "Start", then go to the "Control Panel" menu, then - to the "Device Manager" window. In addition, this item can be replaced by left-clicking on the properties of the "My Computer" object, from where you should click the "Device Manager" link.
In the tree-like list that appears, select the "Video adapters" item. Then click on it with the right mouse button, after which a pop-up menu will appear, from where you should go to the "Properties" item. In the window that appears, select the "Driver" tab, in which click on the "Update" button. Give a positive answer to the offer of the system to search for the necessary data and install it automatically. After that, the updated driver will be installed on the system if a more recent version is available.

The second way to update the driver software is through an Internet browser, through which you need to go to the official resource of Nvidia. While already on the manufacturer's website, you should go to the "Support" tab, and from there to the form reserved for custom driver downloads.
In the form that appears, choosing one of all the pop-up options, you should specify the product parameters, such as: type, series, family, platform and bitness of the operating system, as well as the preferred installation language. Next, a link will appear to download the required installation file.
After the file is downloaded, it will unpack itself, check for supported devices, and determine the need to install new drivers for the Nvidia video adapter. Then, either the process of installing the drivers will take place, followed by a reboot of the system, or the installer itself will cancel the installation process, justifying its action to the user in detail with information in a pop-up window.
It is worth mentioning that drivers for some models of Nvidia video adapters may not always be listed in the list of compatible devices in the downloaded update. Such cards, as a rule, have a marker “M” in the name, for example, 650M, 520M, etc., indicating that this graphics device is specialized for use in laptops. All the necessary actions in this case fit into downloading the latest version of the driver from the resource of the laptop manufacturer.
