Timely cleaning of your computer from various "garbage" can increase its performance. Sometimes, proper care of the operating system can prevent errors in its operation.
Necessary
CCleaner
Instructions
Step 1
Most of the necessary operations can be performed using the CCleaner program. Download it from the official website of the developers of this utility https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner. Choose the free version of the program if you do not plan to run it on other computers. Install CCleaner and restart your PC.
Step 2
Open the program and go to the "Service" menu. Select "Remove Programs". Find all utilities, programs, and games that you are not using. Select each of them and click the "Uninstall" button. This will allow you to uninstall programs, leaving a minimum amount of "tails".
Step 3
Now open the Cleanup menu and select the Windows tab. Select those elements that need to be removed. Go to the Applications tab and select the programs you want to fix. Click the "Cleanup" button and wait a while.
Step 4
Go to the "Registry" menu and click the "Search for problems" button. After creating a list of required files, click the "Fix" button. In the menu that appears, click the "Yes" button and specify the folder where the archive will be saved. It will help you restore the operating parameters of the system in the event of a failure. In the new window, click the "Fix Selected" button. Close the CCleaner program.
Step 5
Don't forget to do a regular cleanup of local drives. To do this, open the "My Computer" menu and right-click on the icon of any partition (it is better to start with the system volume). Select Properties. In the new menu, click the "Disk Cleanup" button.
Step 6
After preparing the files for deletion, click the "Yes" button and wait for this procedure to complete. Clean your computer at least once a month to keep it running smoothly. This will avoid possible operating system problems.
