A high-quality cooling system is a very important element of a personal computer. Overheating of some devices can lead not only to slowdown of the PC, but to their irreparable damage.
Instructions
Step 1
Turn off your computer and disconnect the power cable from the system unit. Open the block body by removing the required walls. Vacuum thoroughly all equipment installed inside the chassis. Pay attention to the cooling fans. Clean each cooler with cotton pads and a mild alcohol solution.
Step 2
Check every fan. Make sure that the blades rotate freely and do not wobble on the axis. If you find a cooler that is unstable, disassemble and lubricate it.
Step 3
Make sure there is enough air entering the system unit. Look for dust on the ventilation holes. Clean them up.
Step 4
If certain devices still get too hot, then replace the fans installed on them. Use more powerful counterparts with higher blade speed. Be sure to clean the heatsinks for the CPU and video adapter.
Step 5
Install an additional cooler by attaching it to the case of the system unit. For best air convection, install two identical fans on the back of the unit. Fasten them in such a way that they blow air in different directions. This will ensure quick replacement of the air heated inside the housing.
Step 6
Do not install the computer system unit near heating elements. Make sure all vents are open and away from walls. As a last resort, use additional coolers installed on the cover of the system unit. To do this, you will have to cut holes in the walls of the case.
Step 7
If standard fans fail, then consider purchasing and installing water cooling. Practice shows that such a system is more effective. At the same time, it reduces the noise level.
