Imagine having your favorite program run on any Windows computer right from a USB flash drive. Purely portable applications have this advantage. You don't need to install them before launching, they leave the registry intact. You can create them using special software.
Instructions
Step 1
Download and install the Cameyo app. Click the Download Now button on Cameyo.com then click it again when the next page loads. The file will be saved in the download location specified by your browser. Navigate to this folder and double-click the application launcher, then follow the instructions to install the software.
Step 2
Run the installed application. Double click on its shortcut on the desktop to open the program and click the "Capture installation" button on the "Cameyo Application Virtualization" screen. The Packager pop-up will show a message that Cameyo will scan your system. Wait for the application to execute it.
Step 3
Open the software you want to port. When the program finishes its initial scan, the next pop-up window will indicate the applications that are available for further archiving. Navigate to the executable file of the desired application and run it following the instructions on the screen to install it on your system.
Step 4
Wait until the applications that you want to make portable are recognized, click the Finish button in the pop-up window. The application will start creating an executable file. Next, the new portable package will appear by default in the My Documents / Cameyo Packets folder.
Step 5
Customize the package as needed. You can make additional changes to your portable application by clicking the Edit existing package button on the Cameyo Application Virtualization screen. When you open the package editor, a screen will appear where you can change the necessary registry settings to successfully recognize the program on any computer.
Step 6
Place the portable application package on removable media and connect it to another computer. If the archiving is successful, the program should start without any problems.
