Many programs for burning images to discs are designed to work with ISO format files. If you have an mdf file at your disposal, you can write it to a disc using three different methods.

- - ISO File Burning.
Instructions
Step 1
One of the simplest ways to burn a disc is to copy files from an image. Install any program that supports the mdf format. These can be utilities Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and others.
Step 2
Run the program of your choice and mount the disk image to the virtual drive. Open the My Computer menu or start another file manager. Navigate to the contents of the disk image. Copy all files and folders to a separate directory.
Step 3
Run any program designed to write files to disk. Copy the unpacked data from the image to DVD media.
Step 4
When using the described method, there may be a problem with the autostart of some elements of the image. If this parameter is important for you, convert the mdf file. Install the Alcohol 120% or UltraISO program.
Step 5
Run the utility and convert the mdf to ISO format. It is worth noting that the image size may increase slightly after the format change. This circumstance may interfere with the normal recording of the contents of the image on the DVD-disc.
Step 6
Now start the Nero program, open the DVD-Rom (ISO) menu and burn the resulting ISO image to a disc. Select the minimum speed for reading information from the image. Using this method will preserve the necessary functions of the DVD.
Step 7
If you need to burn a bootable disc image that you need to run in DOS mode, use the ISO File Burning program. Run this utility after converting mdf to ISO.
Step 8
Specify the DVD drive with which you want to burn the disc, and click the "Browse" button. Select the desired ISO image. Do not use the maximum write speed to prevent errors during burning. After preparing the parameters, click the Burn ISO button.
