Any vpn network provides for a specific server that will provide communication between network computers and other devices. At the same time, it provides some of them (or all) with access to an external network, for example, the Internet.

It is necessary

  • - network cable;
  • - LAN card.

Instructions

Step 1

The simplest example of a vpn network can be the creation of a local network between two computers, each of which will access the Internet. Naturally, only one PC will have a direct connection to the provider's server. Select this computer.

Step 2

Install an additional network adapter into it, which will be connected to the second computer. Using a network cable of the correct length, connect the network cards of the two computers together. Connect the ISP cable to the other network adapter of the main PC.

Step 3

Set up your internet connection. It can be a LAN or DSL connection. In this case, it doesn't matter at all. Once you've finished creating and configuring a new connection, go to its properties.

Step 4

Open the "Access" menu in the window that appears. Allow this Internet connection to be used by all computers that are part of a specific local network. Specify the network formed by your two computers.

Step 5

Open the settings of the network adapter that is connected to the second computer. Highlight the TCP / IPv4 Internet Protocol and click the Properties button. Select "Use the following IP address". Set the value of this parameter to 212.212.212.1. Save your changes.

Step 6

This completes the setup of the first computer. Open the TCP / IPv4 settings on the second PC's network adapter. Taking into account the value of the IP address specified in the previous paragraph, set the following parameters for the items in this menu: - 212.212.212.2 - IP address;

- 255.255.255.0 - Subnet mask;

- 212.212.212.1 - The main gateway;

- 212.212.212.1 - DNS Servers. Save the settings of this menu.

Step 7

In this case, your first computer acts as a vpn server, providing access to the Internet and the local network for the second PC. Refresh the internet connection of the first computer. Make sure the second device has access to the World Wide Web.
