Half Life is one of the most famous action series that was released by the Valve team. The game is installed in a standard way using a CD image downloaded from the Internet installation file or through the functions of the Steam service.

Step 1
To install Half Life, you need to run the game installation file. To do this, insert the disc into the drive of your computer and wait until the automatic menu for selecting installation options starts. If the menu does not appear automatically, open "Start" - "Computer" and double-click on the name of your drive. Double-click the Setup.exe file to run the installer.
Step 2
If you do not have a disc with a game to run the installation, download the installation file from the Internet, where you can also find many modifications of this game or additional packages for installing extensions and modifications. Download the required file and run it by double-clicking the left mouse button.
Step 3
In the event that you downloaded a copy of the game in.iso format, you will have to mount its image in the system as a virtual medium. To do this, download the Daemon Tools Lite program and install it according to the instructions of the installer. Run the program and click "Add drive" in the main menu or through the icon in the Windows tray. Then click on the application created in the virtual drive and specify the path to the game image file. If all actions were performed correctly, you will see the game installation menu.
Step 4
In the installer window, click "Next". On the next screen, you will be asked to select a directory for installation. If necessary, specify any folder where you would like to download all the game files through the "Browse" button. Click "Next" and check the box next to "Create an icon on the desktop". After making all the settings, select "Install".
Step 5
Wait until the installation of the game is completed and the corresponding notification appears. Once the installer is finished, you can use the Half Life desktop shortcut to launch the game. Installation completed.

To install via Steam, start the service client and go to the game store. In the search bar, enter Half Life, and then select the desired game package and click on the "Download" item. Wait for the download process to finish, then go to your library to start it.
