Instructions
Step 1
First, try to find out your motherboard model using the available documentation. Check the user manual for your computer or laptop. Find the name of the motherboard. Remember that it is necessary to clarify not only the main name, but also additional indices.
Step 2
If you are dealing with a desktop computer, try looking at the model number on the board itself. Unplug your PC from AC power. Unscrew a few screws located on the back of the case. Remove the left side of the block.
Step 3
Find your motherboard model name. It can be written on the appropriate sticker or embossed on the board itself. Unfortunately, this method is not suitable when working with mobile computers. This is due to the fact that getting access to the motherboard is quite problematic.
Step 4
Install Everest (AIDA) software. Run it and wait while the utility collects information about installed devices. Find the "Motherboard" item located in the "Menu" tab and navigate to it.
Step 5
Examine the information in the sub-item "Properties of the motherboard". Find out the model of this device. Unfortunately, without the presence of certain drivers, most programs will not be able to recognize the model of the used hardware.
Step 6
Use the Sam Drivers utility. Install and run this program. Wait for the appropriate driver kits to be prepared. Select all the available items with a checkmark and click the "Set Selected" button.
Step 7
Restart your computer after updating the drivers for the motherboard and other devices. Run the Everest program or its equivalent again and find out the model of the motherboard. Visit the official website of the developers of this device for a detailed study of its characteristics.
