When processing a photo in the graphics editor Photoshop, it may be necessary to fill the background with a solid color. To do this quickly, check out our How-To Guide.
Instructions
Step 1
Load the photo into Photoshop and select the subject in the foreground. Use any convenient tool for selection: Lasso Tool, Pen Tool, etc. In this case, when the background is solid, you can click on it with the Magic Wand Tool and invert the selection by choosing Select Inverse from the menu while right-clicking in the selection.

Now that there is a selected object, you need to create a new layer by copying. To do this, right-click on the selection and select the Layer via Copy command from the context menu.
Step 3
Go to the background layer, which is designated in the list of layers as Background and grab the Paint Bucket Tool.
Step 4
Select the desired color using the palette or the Eyedropper Tool and fill the background by clicking on it with the Paint Bucket Tool.
Step 5
Optionally, you can select the Gradient Tool and make a smooth color transition, and then save the result.
