Necessary

  • - Riva Tuner;
  • - Nvidia Control Panel;
  • - ATI Cotrol Center.

Instructions

Step 1

Use Riva Tuner to overclock your netbook's graphics card. It should be noted that this utility may be incompatible with some models of AMD chips. Before using this program, update the drivers for the video adapter and motherboard of your netbook. Install Riva Tuner and launch it.

Step 2

Wait a while while the utility analyzes the required hardware. After launching the utility, open the "Home" tab. Click on the arrow located in the Driver Settings submenu. Select "System Preferences".

Step 3

Check the box next to Enable driver-level overclocking. In the new window, click the "Define" button. Select the 3D overclocking option. Now change the position of the sliders in the "Core frequency" and "Memory frequency" fields.

Step 4

Check the box next to Load settings from Windows. Click the Apply button. In the warning window that appears, click the "No" button. Close the Riva Tuner program.

Step 5

Start configuring the settings for the video adapter using standard drivers. Right click on the desktop and select nvidia Control Panel or ATI Control Center.

Step 6

Go to the Manage 3D Settings menu. Open the "Software Settings" tab and select the application for which the graphics card settings will be changed. Disable the following features: vertical sync, anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, and stream optimization. Be aware that disabling these options will result in degraded graphics in many 3D applications.

Step 7

Save your video adapter settings by clicking the "Apply" button. Restart your mobile computer. If, after the changes made, the device stops starting, open the safe mode of the OS. Cancel the settings made in Riva Tuner. To do this, click the "Restore" button in the main menu of the utility.
