Video hardware acceleration is not a prerequisite for high-quality display of the video files used. A prerequisite for the normal functioning of this object is the presence of a Microsoft DirectX driver and a video memory of at least 128 MB. Image quality problems can often be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration and switching to software acceleration.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the context menu of the video being watched by right-clicking on the center of the window and select the "Settings" item.
Step 2
Go to the "Options" tab of the dialog box that opens and uncheck the "Enable hardware acceleration" box.
Step 3
Refresh the page to apply the selected changes and call the main menu of the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system to perform the operation of disabling the hardware acceleration of the video being played.
Step 4
Go to Control Panel and expand the Appearance and Personalization link.
Step 5
Select the Personalization section and expand the Display Customization node.
Step 6
Use the "Advanced" option and go to the "Diagnostics" tab of the dialog box that opens.
Step 7
Click the Change Settings button and drag the slider to None to reduce or disable hardware acceleration (for Microsoft Windows Vista).
Step 8
Call the main menu of the Microsoft Windows XP operating system to perform an alternative procedure for disabling hardware video acceleration and enter the value desk.cpl in the text field of the search bar.
Step 9
Confirm the execution of the command by pressing the function key Enter and go to the "Parameters" tab of the dialog box that opens.
Step 10
Use the Advanced option and go to the Troubleshoot tab of the new dialog box.
Step 11
Drag the slide to the "No" position and confirm the execution of the command to disable hardware acceleration by clicking OK.
Step 12
Confirm the application of the selected changes by clicking the OK button again (for Microsoft Windows XP).
Step 13
Call the main menu of the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system by clicking the "Start" button to perform an alternative operation to disable the hardware acceleration function and enter the value desk.cpl in the text box of the search bar.
Step 14
Confirm the execution of the command by pressing the function key Enter and specify the element desk.cpl in the opened "Programs" directory.
Step 15
Confirm your authority by entering the administrator password in the system request window that opens and drag the slider in the "Hardware acceleration" line to the "No" position (for Microsoft Windows Vista).
