Vsync function provides alignment, frame rate and vertical scan of the monitor. This means that the maximum number of frames per second cannot be higher than the hertz of the display used.
Necessary
- - AMD Control Center;
- - Nvidia control panel.
Instructions
Step 1
When configuring the video adapter for certain games, it is recommended to disable the vertical sync function. This usually results in lower graphics levels while increasing FPS at the same time. Start by updating your graphics card software.
Step 2
Download the latest AMD Control Center or Nvidia Control Panel software. The choice of the program depends on the manufacturer of the video adapter used. Please check the compatibility with your graphics card before downloading the application.
Step 3
Restart your computer after installing the program. Open Control Panel and select the Appearance and Personalization menu. Click on the link "Adjusting the screen resolution".
Step 4
In the new menu, select "Advanced Options" and navigate to the installed program. After launching the application, go to the Games submenu or open the 3D Application Settings tab.
Step 5
Find the "Wait for Vertical Refresh" or "Vertical Sync" box. In the English version of the program, it is called Vertical Sync. Move the slider to Disabled or Disabled if not specified by the application.
Step 6
Activate the "Triple buffering" function. Sometimes its use can reduce the load on the video adapter, providing better image processing. Click the Apply button and restart your computer.
Step 7
If you are using Nvidia software, adjust the settings for each specific application. This will turn off synchronization only when you start a narrow range of programs.
Step 8
After launching the Manage 3D Settings menu, navigate to the Application Settings tab. Choose a specific program. If it is not listed, click the Browse button. Select the exe file that launches the desired program.
Step 9
Select the options for the video adapter when activating this application. Click the Apply button and restart your PC.
