To run as a service, the program must have the correct format and a well-formed entry point. The Any Service utility allows you to redirect a call at application startup in such a way that the program is launched from a service without itself being such.

Instructions
Step 1
Download the Any Service utility. The program is free, takes only 49 Kb and does not require installation. The application interface is very simple and supplemented with tooltips. Open the Any Service tool to perform the initial settings for the created service.
Step 2
Enter the full path to the executable file of the required application in the "Path to the executable file" field of the open program window.
Step 3
Assign a new name to the service you are creating in the Service Name field.
Step 4
Enter user-friendly information describing the new service in the Service Description field.

Apply the checkbox to the Interaction with the desktop box to display the icon of the service being created in the system tray.
Step 6
Apply the checkbox to the "Service autostart" box to enable the auto service function.
Step 7
Check the Run immediately after creation box to check the operating parameters of the service as soon as the operation ends.
Step 8
Click the New button to execute the command.
Step 9
Check the operation of the newly created service. To do this, click the Services button in the application menu that opens the Group Snap-in Policy.
Step 10
Configure the parameters of the new service by analogy with other system services.
Step 11
Click the "Uninstall" button in the main program window to uninstall the selected service.
Step 12
Select the unnecessary service from the list in the Remove services dialog box that opens and click the "Remove" button.

Use the Instsrv.exe and Sravny.exe utilities, which are responsible for installing and removing system services from the operating system and running as a service any Windows application, and included in the Resource Kit, for an alternative method of launching the application as a service (only for advanced users with experience with the Windows system registry).
