System file protection is enabled on Windows operating systems starting with the Millenium version. This was done for additional security of the OS, reducing the risk of system failure when malware enters the computer. But this situation has its drawbacks. For example, sometimes some programs cannot be installed.

Instructions
Step 1
You can disable protection of operating system system files by editing the registry. Click Start. Then select "All programs", and in the list of programs - "Standard". Find and open Command Prompt. At the command prompt, enter regedit. Press the Enter key. In a second, the system registry editor window will open.
Step 2
In the right editor window there is a list of the main sections. Find the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE section. There is an arrow next to it. Click on it. In this way, you will open additional subsections, near which there is also an arrow. You need to open them in this order SOFTWARE / Microsoft / Windows NT / CurrentVersion /. In CurrentVersion, find the line Winlogon. Click on this line with the left mouse button, highlighting it.
Step 3
A list of parameters will open on the right side of the Registry Editor window. In this list, you need to find the SFCDisable parameter. Click on it with a double left click of the mouse. In the Value line, enter dword: ffffff9d, and then click OK. Close the Registry Editor window. You have now disabled system file protection. If you need to enable it, you will have to set the SFCDisable parameter to dword: 00000000. System file protection will be enabled again.
Step 4
You can also use a special Tweaker to disable the protection of system files. It is a utility that can fine tune the operation of the operating system. Download Tweaker. When downloading, be sure to consider the version of your operating system. If you have Windows 7, then Tweaker should be just for it. Versions for different OS may be incompatible.
Step 5
Start Tweaker. A window with the basic settings of the operating system will appear. In this window, next to the line "Disable system file protection SFC" check the box and click "Apply". The protection will be removed.
