Protection of the Windows operating system is used to "roll back" the entire structure to a working state, before any changes are made to it, or the action of malicious programs. However, there are situations when it is necessary to temporarily (in some cases and for a long period) disable system protection. This is not so difficult to do, the main thing is to adhere to a certain algorithm of actions.
Necessary
Personal Computer
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the main menu of your computer by clicking the "Start" button in the lower left corner of the screen. A menu appears in front of you. To the right of the list of installed quick launch programs, find the "Computer" menu item and right-click on it. From the context menu that appears, select the "Properties" item. Click the left mouse button.
Step 2
In the system properties dialog box that appears, go (to go just click on the tab) to the "System Restore" item. Check the box next to the "Disable System Restore" line. Click the "OK" button, then click on the "Apply" tab. After that, the computer will ask for confirmation to disable protection. Click Yes. Operating system recovery from now on will be completely disabled. You can always enable this operation on your computer in the same way.
Step 3
Restart your computer for the changes to take effect. To do this, go to the "Start" menu and click the "Restart" button. You can also reboot with the button located on the system unit, but it should be used only in cases when it is impossible to reboot in the standard way. As soon as the computer restarts, go back to the "System Restore" tab. The system will warn you that this feature has been disabled. This indicates that you did everything right.
Step 4
Do not forget to enable system protection after you have completed all the necessary actions (for example, the antivirus program deleted infected files from the Restore folder). Otherwise, you will not be able to use the system protection service, which may cause its unstable work.
