A driver is a program that enables correct communication between a computer, hardware, and devices. The digital signature of the driver serves as a security label that identifies the software developer.

Step 1
When a new device is connected to the computer, the operating system attempts to find and install a driver for this device. At the same time, a notification about the found driver sometimes appears. The system will warn you that the driver has been changed, has no signature, or cannot be installed at all. After that, you independently decide whether to continue installing it or start looking for other software.
Step 2
If you decide to install an unsigned driver or disable digital signature verification, be aware of the potential risk. The file can simply be tampered with or replaced by a virus - in this case, the stability of your system will be disrupted.
Step 3
To disable the digital signature of the driver, open the "Start" menu and click on the "Run" button. In the window that appears, enter the gpedit.msc command. A new window will display the "Local Computer Group Policy". Open the "User Configuration" option. In it, select the "Administrative Templates" item. At the bottom of the list, find the "System" folder, open it and double-click on the "Signing device drivers" shortcut.
Step 4
In the window that opens, you can set the state of the service. When you select the "Enable" item, you will be able to set the system action when installing the driver without a digital signature. Highlight the "Disabled" item and press the "Apply" button, then the Ok button. Driver digital signature verification is disabled.
