For a variety of purposes, people sometimes need not the musical composition itself, but only its phonogram, in which there is no voice part - such phonograms, called backing tracks, are often used for sound editing, as well as for karaoke, in the event that it is not possible to find a ready-made high-quality minus one on the Internet. It's not difficult to turn an ordinary music track into a backing track for karaoke - for this you need Adobe Audition.
Instructions
Step 1
In order for the result of your work to meet all quality requirements, the source of the music file from which you cut the voice frequencies must also be of high quality. It is best to use wav format music tracks to convert the song to karaoke.
Step 2
Create multiple copies of the original audio file - original, bass, mids, and treble - and then open all four files in Adobe Audition. Start processing the song from the original copy of the track.
Step 3
Click on a track in the list of loaded music files, and then go to the Edit View window and select the sound wave of the selected track by double-clicking on it.
Step 4
Open the Effects menu tab and select Center Channel Extractor from the list of filters. In the window that opens, you can immediately select the Karaoke preset, but you can also edit all the parameters of the center frequency extraction manually. Move the Center Channel Level field control and press the Preview button to find the most optimal center channel level position.
Step 5
In the Discrimination Settings field, set the frequency cutoff limits. You can also adjust all the other options available in the center channel cut settings window. When the file you listened to is satisfactory, click OK.
Step 6
Likewise, you can edit the low and high frequencies in the created copies of your music track to maximize the quality of the finished karaoke soundtrack, extracting the vocal part from it in the best way so as not to lose the quality of the melodic parts.
