For example, some users do not like it when discs make a lot of noise while watching a movie or listening to music from them. This is caused by the high spin up speed of the disc. With such noises, watching a movie or listening to music becomes not entirely comfortable. To configure the drive you need CDSlow, which is completely free.
Step 2
There are two versions of the program: the first requires installation, and the second does not need to be installed, you just need to extract the program from the archive. Download CDSlow from the internet. Install it if necessary. If you have not installed the program, then run it. During installation, the program will start automatically. Its icon will appear on the taskbar of the desktop. Click on it with the right mouse button and set the rotation speed of the disks in the menu. Note that lower rotational speeds not only reduce noise levels, but also increase the likelihood of reading damaged discs.
Step 3
Also with the help of this program you can configure the autoplay of disks. To do this, right-click on the program icon and select "Settings". In the settings, find the item "System parameters". Check the boxes you want. You can set the disc to autoplay or cancel it. It is also possible to configure autoplay of music discs and other autoplay options.
Step 4
Optionally, you can add hotkeys to eject the drive tray. To do this, right-click on the program icon and select the desired drive from the menu. In the window that opens, find the "Hotkeys" section. Then left-click on the "Eject disc" line, then assign any key to this action. In this way, you can set hot keys not only for ejecting the tray, but also for closing it. In addition, you can assign hotkeys to dynamically change the drive speed and other parameters you need.
