Itunes is used to synchronize Apple devices with a computer via a cable or wireless connection. To use itunes, you need to create a special Apple ID, which will serve as access to the app store and music to download to your gadget.
Installing itunes
First, you need to install the program on your computer. Open a browser window installed in your operating system and go to the official Apple website. In the top bar of the page that appears, click itunes, and you will be taken to the download page of the program. Use the Download button to download the installer file. Select the directory to save it and wait for the download procedure to complete, and then double-click on the resulting file.
The itunes installer window will appear on the screen. Following the instructions on the screen, complete the installation of the program, after which you will be prompted to run the utility.
You can launch the application on your computer using the appropriate shortcut on the desktop or the Start menu.
Creating an Apple ID
In the itunes window, you will see many options for managing the contents of your Apple device library. To register an Apple ID, go to the Store section and select any free program shown on the screen. To search, you can use the given list of categories. After selecting the desired utility, click on the "Free" button or on the price tag at which you can buy a paid application.
You will be prompted to enter your account information. Click on the "Create Apple ID" button to register itunes. Accept the agreement for using the service, and then fill in the required fields. You will be asked to provide a name, date of birth, as well as set a password for the account and enter an e-mail. It is important that the email address is entered correctly, as it will receive an email to activate your account. As soon as you see a notification about sending a message for activation to the specified address, go to your e-mail and follow the link provided in the letter from Apple.
Program installation
Itunes registration is complete. Now you can click on the "Free" button in the program window again and enter the created username and password for your account. As soon as the data is entered correctly, the download and installation of the selected program will begin. After activation, you can also buy apps using your credit card.
To install the downloaded utility on your device, you need to connect it using the USB cable that came with your iphone, ipad or ipod. Then go to the "Programs" section and click "Sync" to add the already downloaded utilities. After completing the procedure, the gadget can be turned off.
For itunes settings, go to the "Edit" - "Settings" section of the program window.
To make settings for managing the program, add synchronization folders and enable automatic data updates when the device is connected to a computer, you can use the "Settings" section. To access it, click on the button of your gadget and go to the corresponding section. You do not need to connect to your computer to change these settings.
