There are situations when users of a computer, phone or other device find that they have lost MP3 music files that were previously in place. Use one of the software data recovery methods.
Instructions
Step 1
Check if the file has *. MP3 extension. To do this, right-click on it and select "Properties". The extension of music files may disappear due to the influence of recently installed programs, as well as various viruses. Install the correct extension and make sure the properties are set to the correct program to open these types of files. To fix this error on the player, phone and other devices, connect them to the computer as a removable storage medium and install the desired extension for the files in the appropriate folder.
Step 2
Use System Restore to recover music files that you accidentally deleted on your computer. From the Start menu, go to the Programs folder, then System Tools and select the recovery service. Specify the date when the music files were still on the computer and perform the operation. After a reboot, accidentally deleted data will reappear on the hard disk.
Step 3
Download one of the special programs for recovering deleted data from the Internet. System Restore does not always help you get some files back, so additional programmatic methods will become more effective. For example, Recuva is a free and convenient application for recovering deleted files. After installing and launching the program, select the "Analysis" command. Specify the drive, the data on which you want to recover, and select files with the *. MP3 extension as their type. The program will scan the selected drive and display information about recently deleted files. Select the ones you need and press the "Restore" button. Once the process is complete, the deleted music files will be recovered.
