The easiest way to transfer the screen image to paper is to use the graphics editor Paint. This application is installed along with the installation of the Windows operating system, so there is no need to look for additional programs. In addition, Paint is designed for a novice user, so there is no need to spend time studying it either.

Instructions

Step 1

To start the graphics editor, open the OS main menu, type Paint in the search box and press the Enter key. And if you have recently used this application, then its icon will be present in the left column of the menu - just click on it with the mouse.

Step 2

Copy the screen image to the clipboard. To do this, just press the Print Screen key - on a standard keyboard, this is the third button from the right in the top row. The inscription can be made in an abbreviated form - PrScn. On laptops and netbooks, this button often only works in conjunction with the function key Fn.

Step 3

Switch to Paint and paste the contents of the clipboard - just press the key combination Ctrl + V or click on the button labeled "Paste" on the "Home" tab of the editor menu.

Step 4

Then turn on the printer, make sure there is paper in it, and the device is connected to the computer.

Step 5

In the graphical editor, click on the blue button without an inscription in the upper left corner and in the "Print" section of the drop-down menu, select "View". A page layout with a screen image appears in the application window. By default, Paint resizes the image to fit the specified paper size. If these settings need to be changed, click the "Page settings" button and set the required indentation values in the corresponding form fields. If necessary, you can change the page orientation, sheet format, set the centering of the image on the sheet vertically and horizontally.

Step 6

When everything is ready, click OK in the settings dialog, and then click on the "Print" button and the process of outputting the screen image to the printer will start. The image remaining in the editor window can be saved to a file for further use. To do this, just press the key combination Ctrl + S, and in the dialog box that opens, specify the name of the file and the location of its storage in the computer.
