Despite the fact that laser printers have gradually replaced inkjet printers, photo printing is still relevant to inkjet printers. Since it costs twice as much to print a color picture on a laser printer. In this case, ink cartridges can be refilled with new ink and continue printing.
Instructions
Step 1
Buy ink that matches your printer model from an office supply store. If you print large volumes of photos and have to change the cartridge frequently, you can purchase a 1000 ml tube of ink. At low volumes of color printing and rare refills of the cartridge, the tube may dry out ahead of time. Therefore, three syringes of red, blue and yellow colors will be enough for you, which are usually enough for 3-4 refills.
Step 2
Unplug the printer, open the cover, and remove the color cartridge from the left slot.
Step 3
Place several layers of newsprint on the table to avoid ink stains.
Step 4
Place the cartridge on the newspaper with the printheads facing down.
Step 5
Remove the top decal. Then pierce the three small syringe holes. You can carefully drill them with an awl.
Step 6
Now slowly and carefully fill each container with ink of the appropriate color, filling in 6 ml of red, blue and yellow ink.
Step 7
Leave the cartridge in this position for 5-10 minutes.
Step 8
Carefully cover the holes with narrow tape.
Step 9
Insert the cartridge into the empty slot on the printer in the same way as you removed it. When it snaps into place, you will hear a distinctive click.
Step 10
Close the cover and turn on the printer. When replacing an ink cartridge, some printers will produce a color alignment page. Make sure the printer has white paper and click OK. If you have colored paper loaded, problems may appear in its further work. A test page prints, and the print head aligns automatically, and color calibrates. Messages about the results of these operations will appear on the computer screen. Perform several cycles of head cleaning on the printer - usually 1 to 3 is sufficient.
Step 11
The cartridge is full. You can print color photos.
