Refilling the printer cartridge at home can significantly reduce printing costs. However, it does take some skill or you could damage the cartridge or ruin the printer. For refueling, you can use special gas stations or kits.

Necessary

  • - refillable cartridge;
  • - ink;
  • - syringe with a needle;

Instructions

Step 1

Refueling of printer cartridges differs significantly from different companies. Epson cartridges are just like an ordinary ink reservoir. The print head itself and the mechanism are installed in the printer itself. This greatly facilitates the refilling process, while at the same time increasing the likelihood of breakdown, since the use of low-quality ink will primarily affect the printing unit.

Step 2

Remove the cartridge from the printer and immediately cover the ink outlet with a piece of tape. Next, insert the filled syringe with a needle into the hole on the top side and slowly pour in the paint. Seal the filler hole. Remove the tape and reinsert the cartridge into the printer.

Step 3

HP ink cartridges are more sophisticated in that the print head is directly aligned with the reservoir, which protects the printer from low-quality ink. In case of unsuccessful refilling, the cartridge is simply thrown away and replaced with a new one. Take the cartridge out of the printer and insert the filled syringe with a needle into the upper hole. Squeeze out the ink slowly and wait for a while for the ink to spread over the entire surface of the sponge. For HP DeskJet color cartridges, you must first remove the top cover. There are 3 tanks underneath for different colors of paint. Cover the first two holes, and fill the ink with the same color first. Then, after glueing the other two inlets, pump the ink into the other reservoir. Fill the cartridge in the same way through the third hole.

Step 4

In Canon cartridges, the ink is held inside a separate reservoir using a sponge. They are filled through the side opening, which also serves as ventilation, so there is no need to glue it. You can also refuel through a special membrane at the bottom of the cartridge. It is enough to drip ink on it a little and the cartridge will gradually fill up.
